Shane Joseph
A close-up magician who knows how to work a room.
Shane is a Windsor-based Member of The Magic Circle with more than two decades of performing experience. His speciality is close-up magic performed right among the guests, backed by years of live performance, music and corporate presentation experience.
From Maryland to Windsor
Shane’s story.
Originally from Maryland in the United States, Shane began his career after earning a degree in Computer Science. He worked his way through the corporate world, eventually spending more than a decade as a senior executive specialising in business transformation and M&A.
In 2015, an opportunity brought Shane and his family to the UK, and Windsor has been home ever since.
Throughout that corporate career, two passions stayed constant: magic and music. Shane taught himself card magic and guitar, then developed a broader repertoire of close-up magic, mind reading, piano and singing. He has performed for intimate groups and crowds of thousands.
Today, entertainment is his full focus. Close-up magic is at the heart of what he does, with live music, hosting and a stand-up show available when an event needs something more.
Close-up magic has nowhere to hide: the impossible happens right under people’s noses. A stand-up show needs presence. Hosting needs timing and control. Shane has spent years learning how to read people and hold their attention in all three settings.
Comfortable with ten people. Comfortable with thousands.
His 26-year corporate career included senior international roles, high-stakes presentations and leading large teams. That is why speaking to a room with a microphone feels natural rather than like an extra service added to a magician’s website.
His corporate background also means professionalism is not an add-on. Clear communication, adaptability and understanding the brief are part of the performance.
Professional credentials
Proud member of The Magic Circle
Membership of The Magic Circle is earned through demonstrated skill. For a client, it is simply another sign that Shane takes the craft seriously — while the performance itself stays relaxed, modern and built around your guests.
Music
A distinctive American vocal style.
Born in the U.S., Shane brings a distinct vocal style to live sets, with a repertoire spanning country, pop, rock, timeless classics and familiar singalongs.
He can perform on guitar or piano and learn special songs with advance notice. For weddings and private events, music can sit alongside the magic rather than feeling like a separate supplier.
